Check the Clock Before Making Plans
The expected start is July 22, 2026, around 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and the window may run into July 23 depending on where you live. Still, don't treat that estimate as gospel. Monopoly Go shifts event timings now and then. Open the game and look for the Golden Blitz badge and its live countdown before you promise anyone a trade. Players in Asia may see the event on July 23, while players in the US will likely see it begin on July 22.

Only the first two cards should be tradeable. That point catches people out every time. A gold sticker being discussed in groups doesn't mean it has been activated. Shutdown and Lenny Leonard are both hard-to-find five-star golds, so a clean one-for-one exchange is the sensible starting point. But supply can look very different once players log in. Lenny may have won the vote, yet Shutdown could become tougher to find if fewer people hold an extra copy.
Use Your Sends Like They Matter
Golden Blitz usually gives players up to five gold sends outside the normal daily sticker limit. That sounds generous until you burn them on rushed deals. Before the event opens, check which card would finish a set, count your real duplicates, and decide what you will accept. One copy stays in your album, so two copies means only one is available to send.
- Prioritise a trade that finishes a set or completes your album.
- Use the in-game exchange feature when both players are sending cards.
- Don't spend a Wild Sticker on either featured gold before the Blitz.
- Leave at least one send available in case a better offer appears later.
Trade for Progress, Not Hype
There is no fixed price for a five-star gold, and huge star offers are not always the best deal. A missing standard five-star you genuinely need can beat a pile of random duplicates. Don't panic in the first ten minutes, either. More traders usually appear after the rush.
